Cookie Policy
The idctenerifecanary.com website uses one technical cookie, which remembers your cookie choice, plus statistics, marketing and external-content cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, Google Maps), which are only activated if you accept them. This policy explains what they are, what they do and how to manage them. It applies to residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
The controller is Salvatore Giglione, trading as IDC Tenerife Canary, Avenida de Rafael Puig Lluvina 9, Centro Comercial Salytien, Local 13, 38660 Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. You will find all our contact details in the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They make the website work, remember your preferences or collect visit statistics. In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as the browser's local storage (localStorage).
There are:
- Technical cookies: needed for the website to work. They do not require your consent.
- Statistics cookies: measure how the website is used. We only set them with your consent.
- Marketing cookies: used to show personalised advertising. We only set them with your consent.
- External content: videos and maps from other providers embedded in our pages. We only load them with your consent.

None of these cookies, except the technical one, is set before you give consent. If you reject a category, the tools in that category are not loaded. YouTube videos and Google Maps stay blocked until you accept external content: in their place you see a box with a button to activate them.
The website also contains links to external services (WhatsApp and Google Maps). These are plain links: they set no cookies until you open them. Once opened, those services' own policies apply. Reviews and awards from Google and TripAdvisor are text and images hosted on our website and set no cookies.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how many people visit the website, which pages they come from and which content they read. It helps us improve the website and measure the results of our campaigns.
- Data collected: pages visited, length of visit, device and browser type, approximate country or city, referring website.
- IP address: Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Retention in reports: 14 months.
- Sharing: if you also accept marketing cookies, Analytics may be linked to Google Ads to measure campaigns. If you reject them, statistics data is not used for advertising.
- Transfers outside the EU: data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Learn more: Google privacy policy. You can also block Google Analytics on all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
4. Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
If you accept marketing cookies, we use Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) to measure how many people reach the website from our ads and to show our courses to people who have already visited the website (remarketing).
- Data collected: pages visited, ad clicks, cookie identifiers, device and browser type.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Joint controllership with Meta: for data collected through the Pixel we are joint controllers with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited; Meta is responsible for any further use of the data.
- Transfers outside the EU: Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc. in the United States are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Learn more: how Google uses data and the Meta privacy policy. You can also manage personalised ads in Google ad settings and Meta ad preferences.
5. Consent and changing your mind
On your first visit we show a banner with three buttons: Accept all, Reject all and Customise, where you can choose category by category (statistics, marketing, external content). Until you choose, no optional tool is loaded. Your choice is valid for 12 months, after which we ask again.
You can change your mind at any time with the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading the tools in that category; you can delete cookies already set from your browser.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Here are the guides for the most common browsers:
If you block all cookies, the website keeps working, but we will ask for your choice on every visit.
